Why Tracey exists
In Ghana, most of our money moves through mobile money. It’s fast and it’s everywhere, which is exactly why it’s easy to lose track of. Fifty small sends, a few Bolt rides and a betting slip later, the month is gone and nobody can say where.
Tracey is built to fix that. We want people to know where their money goes, feel in control of it, and build habits that leave them better off month after month.
What Tracey does
- Tracks your spending from your MTN MoMo statement, every transaction.
- Categorises it automatically: transport, food, bills, family, betting and more. If Tracey isn’t sure, it asks once and remembers.
- Helps you budget with a monthly limit per category, and shows how you did each time you send a new statement.
- Explains it simply, in English, Pidgin or Twi, by text or voice note, right on WhatsApp.
The rules Tracey follows
- Your money story stays yours. Tracey only reads the statement you send, never sells your data, and deletes it when you ask. See our privacy policy and security page.
- Spending, not selling. Tracey helps you manage everyday spending. It doesn’t push loans, investments or betting, and it doesn’t give investment advice.
- Honest numbers. Every figure comes from your own statement. Where Tracey is unsure, it asks instead of guessing.
- Friendly, never shaming. Tracey can joke about your spending when you ask for a roast, but it never judges the person.

Tracey is designed and built in Accra, Ghana. We’re starting with MTN Mobile Money and adding Telecel Cash, AirtelTigo Money and Ghanaian banks one at a time.
